Make yourself at home.
We have invested a lot of care in this home to provide a comfortable, relaxing, safe, interesting and inviting retreat. The house is in the quiet Old West Side neighborhood just west of Main Street and downtown Ann Arbor. Many exciting shops and restaurants are a pleasant 10 minute walk from the house. Our home has accumulated years of good karma. Outfitted with up-cycled furnishings and hand-me-downs, we embrace minimal environmental impact. Most items in the house have a story.

Amenities: All you need for a seamless stay
Like two hotel rooms, the house has two bedrooms and two full bathrooms. In addition, there is a kitchen, dining room, living room, a front porch, picnic table and small front yard. There is a small TV with cable, a dish washer, washer and dryer and wireless internet is included. We have a Nepalese Bicycle Rickshaw in the garage, the only one of its kind in all of North and South America! Please inquire. For your enjoyment, the owner's art and photographs will keep you engaged and entertained. DVDs, toys, children's books, puzzles and more will keep the young ones busy. High chair and pack-n-play are available, too. Find a book to take home in the Little Free Himalayan Library outside on Washington Street.
The house has air conditioning for hot summer days and heat for cold snowy nights. You can park your car in the driveway. Linens and towels are provided. Compost, recycle and trash bins are in back for your use. Ann Arbor composts all food scraps (including dairy and meat!) and recycles tons of its overall trash. Alarm clocks with radios are in both guest rooms. Breakfast groceries and additional cleanings can be arranged on request. There is a park nearby with a playground and a large field with volleyball and basketball courts.
This is an historic neighborhood full of friendly neighbors. It's a short 10-minute walk to Main Street, 20-minute walk to the University of Michigan's central campus, 30-minute walk to The Big House (Michigan Stadium), 15-minute walk to the Farmers Market (Wednesdays [May-December] and Saturdays [year-round]) and a 15-minute walk to Kerrytown Market & Shops.
