Make yourself at home.

A lot of care has been invested in this home to provide a comfortable, relaxing, safe, interesting and inviting retreat for vacationers.  The house is in a great neighborhood and is a pleasant 10 minute walk to Main Street and many downtown shops and restaurants.  This home has accumulated years of good karma and timeless energy.  It's outfitted with recycled furnishings and hand-me-downs for minimal environmental impact.  Most items in the house have a story.  Compost, recycle and trash bins are in back for your use.  Ann Arbor composts all food scraps (including dairy and meat!) and recycles tons of its overall trash.

Amenities:

In addition to two bedrooms and two bathrooms, the house has a kitchen, dining room, living room, a quaint front porch, picnic table and small front yard.  There is a small TV with cable, a dish washer, washer and dryer and wireless internet.  There is even a Nepalese Bicycle Rickshaw in the garage, which is likely the only one of its kind in all of North and South America.  (Please inquire).  For your entertainment, the owner's art and photographs will keep you busy.  There is an extensive DVD collection, a bunch of toys, children's books, puzzles and more.  Look for a book in the Little Himalayan Free Library outside on Washington Street.

The house has air conditioning for hot summer days and heat for cold winter nights.  You can park your car in the driveway.  Linens and towels are provided.  There are trash, recycle and composting bins out back and alarm clocks with radios in the guest rooms.  Breakfast groceries and additional cleanings can be arranged on request.  Nearby there is a park with a playground and a large field with volleyball and basketball courts.  This is a quiet, historic neighborhood full of friendly neighbors.  It's a short 10-minute walk to Main Street, 20-minute walk to the University of Michigan's central campus, 30-minute walk to The Big House (Michigan Stadium), 15-minute walk to the Farmers Market (Wednesdays [May-December] and Saturdays [year-round]) and a 15-minute walk to Kerrytown Market & Shops.
